OFFICE

We believe design functions as a way of communication, a link that transmits knowledge, raises awareness and engages people. Enlace Arquitectura actively participates in the civic realm through partnerships with key urban and social actors.

We operate at diverse spectrums of the design field from urban design and landscape to architecture and industrial design. We believe exercising these multiplicities strengthens the agency of design by increasing opportunties to connect people with the making and remaking of their built environment.

+ CONTENT:

Our projects focus on the urban environment and engage municipal governments, multilateral organizations and NGOs to advance social inclusion and ecologically sustainable strategies. Partnerships with the private sector open possibilities for critical inquiry into practice focused on livelihood and a responsible use of resources.

+ METHODS:

We are keen on reviewing and innovating methods that strengthen the effectiveness of our communication. We have forged ongoing relationships with communities, especially underserved ones in slums and barrios, through creative forms of participation, education and empowerment.

We are keen on establishing multiple channels of discourse to connect ideas and experience with interested audiences. Publications and exhibitions help us connect new knowledge we produce through research with the civic realm.

In the same spirit, we are committed to education and teach, guide thesis projects, support academic internships, sponsor student community service projects and lecture both locally and abroad.
