Prodavinci publication – Social inclusion allows cities to be more efficient and sustainable

Prodavinci published an article by Elisa Silva titled "Social Inclusion allows cities to be more efficient and sustainable." Social Inclusion and Equity are not only the manifestations of a more just society, they are also critical conditions for sustainable development. This causality is more visible today thanks to efforts to produce data through indicators such as the Sustainable Development Goals SDG, and more recently the Habitat III New Urban Agenda. We find that levels of inequality are often very different between cities of the same country, in spite of economic and social political policies that operate at the national level. What then occurs locally that makes some cities experience greater equality and social inclusion? The article focuses on experiences of 10 cities throughout the world.
